24th International Symposium on Mathematical Theory of Networks and Systems (MTNS 2020): Cambridge, UK >>> Conference cancellation

Department A-Z

It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of the postponed 24th MTNS which was due to be held in Cambridge in August 2021 due to anticipated travel restrictions imposed by the covid-19 pandemic. The 25th MTNS will be held on 12-16 September 2022, Bayreuth, Germany.

Malcolm Smith (General Chair) and Rodolphe Sepulchre (Programme Chair)

Announcement (22 March 2021)

After careful consideration the Steering Committee of MTNS has made the decision to cancel the postponed conference which was due to be held in August 2021. The arrangements negotiated with our co-sponsor IFAC and announced in Author Information on 17 May 2020 now come into force. Final versions of full papers that were notified as being accepted in May 2020 may be uploaded without further review and will be published in IFAC papers online, with a condition from IFAC that they are not substantially different from the accepted version. As announced on 17 May 2020, accepted extended abstracts will no longer be published or posted on the conference website. The timetable and instructions for upload of full papers will be confirmed shortly under Author Information together with the paper upload fee. Participants are advised that it is necessary to charge an upload fee in order to cover costs incurred. We hope to open the submission site for full paper uploads on 1 April 2021 with a provisional closing date of 15 April 2021. Yours sincerely, Malcolm Smith and Rodolphe Sepulchre.

MTNS is a major symposium in the general area of mathematical systems theory, networks and control. The symposium is interdisciplinary and attracts mathematicians, engineers and researchers working in all aspects of systems theory and its applications. The symposium is held every two years. Mathematical methods which play a role in the areas mentioned above stem from a broad range of fields of pure and applied mathematics, including ordinary and partial differential equations, real and complex analysis, numerical analysis, probability theory and stochastic analysis, operator theory, linear and commutative algebra as well as algebraic and differential geometry. Application areas range from biology, communications and mathematical finance to problems in electrical, mechanical, aerospace and chemical engineering, and robotics. The 25th MTNS will take place in Bayreuth, Germany on 12-16 September 2022.

MTNS is co-sponsored by IFAC
